Schedule:Session Description: Human resource professionals spend their time and energy helping employees be successful and comfortable in their roles, many times placing others’ needs before their own. If not recognized and dealt with, it can lead to burnout and feeling emotionally depleted. This condition is called Compassion Fatigue (CF). The goal of the talk is to help the audience learn about, understand and mitigate Compassion Fatigue (CF). During my time, I will help with defining CF, learn factors that contribute to it, identify signs, and learn how to prevent and manage it.
Credits: This program is being submitted for approval of recertification credits by the HR Certification Institute (HRCI) and for SHRM Professional Development Credit (PDC).

About Us
The Miami Valley Human Resources Association (formerly the Miami Valley Personnel Association) was organized just prior to the First World War. A number of Dayton Personnel executives met for the purpose of fostering and promoting better methods of maintaining the best possible human relations in industry and commerce. Out of these early experiences so many worthwhile values have evolved that today the Association includes Human Resource professionals from local organizations that comprise a large segment of the business community.
